February`s Tasks:

 

1. Students add their research about Climate change to the page: ( PPT , video or file ) Add HERE

  Map: Students use an interactive climate zone map to discover information about their zone. You can use this site : https://climate-zone.com/

Students write a short description about the place they live in:  Climate zone, Name of Continent, Name of country, What is the weather in their town/region? Did it change recently (e.g. extreme heat waves, extremely cold unusual winter etc.)?

March´s tasks

We will grow it as a symbole of Nature, friendship , health and wealth. The students will research and compare the growing the plants in different country zones.

We need:

1. The wheat- 200 gr.

2. A plate

3. bandage or cheesecloth

 

Day 1

Take 200 gr. seeds of wheat , a plate and cheesecloth. Find a pretty plate. Cover it with one, thick, single layer of seeds.
Water the seeds and cover them with a wet paper towel. 
Place the plate in a place where the seeds will get sunlight – a place where it is warm and bright. Then wait for the “samani” to start growing.

Days 2-3-4
The seeds are already starting to grow. When the green sprouts are about one fourth of an inch high or as long as your fingernail, take off the paper towel so that the wheat can grow even taller. 
Make sure the seeds have plenty of sun and water. 

Day 5
The “samani” is already one inch tall. It is growing fast now. Check for water and sun.

Day 6
Keep checking the seeds to make sure they have water and sun. Watch and keep waiting.

Day 7
The wheat grass is four inches tall. Awesome! It’s growing so fast right in front of our eyes!

Day 10
The wheat grass is now at least six inches tall. It’s ready to decorate. 
Now tie a bright-red ribbon around your “samani”.

Now place the “samani” in the middle of your table to celebrate the coming of Spring! Happy First Day of Spring!
